Art History: Renaissance to Post-Impressionism

This course examines major art movements from the Renaissance through Post-Impressionism, spanning the 15th through 19th centuries. Students will explore the defining characteristics, techniques, and ideas of each movement while examining the historical, cultural, religious, and social influences that shaped them. The course introduces key artists and significant works of art, with an emphasis on understanding how artistic movements developed, influenced one another, and reflected the changing world around them.
