Art Classes at The Marshall Muse Gallery for Your Homeschooled Children

A Creative & Educational Art Experience for Homeschool Students! Are you looking for a fun, structured, and enriching homeschool art program? The Marshall Muse Gallery offers weekly homeschool art classes that blend hands-on creativity with real art education! Students will explore the Principles and Elements of Art, learn a variety of art techniques and styles, and dive into art history in an engaging and interactive way.

To ensure the best experience, our homeschool art classes are divided into age-specific groups so students can explore art at a level suited to them. Small class sizes provide personalized instruction and allow each student to develop their unique artistic voice.

What about my 5 year old? If your child is in kindergarten or has attended preschool and can focus on a project for 40 min or more they are welcome to join these 6-8yrs classes.

Art 101 with Sarah (Ages 6-8, 9-12 and 13 & up)

This playful introduction to the world of art is perfect for young creators ready to explore! Each 50-minute session focuses on a different element of art—like line, shape, color, and texture—through fun, hands-on projects using paint, paper, clay, and more. Classes meet in eight-week sessions, and returning students will enjoy brand-new themes and materials each time. With a strong emphasis on imagination, creativity, and skill-building, young artists will stay engaged and inspired all year long.

Ages 9–12 on Wednesdays at 10:30-11:45am

Session 4: March 18th-May 13th (No class April 1st)

Designed for budding young artists, this class dives deeper into the elements and principles of art with a balance of guided instruction and creative exploration. Each 1-hour and 15-minute session focuses on concepts like balance, contrast, rhythm, and movement, using media such as drawing, painting, sculpture, and collage. Every eight-week session features fresh projects and themes, so students can continue building skills and confidence while trying something new each time.

Ages 12+ on Wednesdays at 1:00-2:30pm

Tailored for teens and preteens ready to take their art further, this 1.5-hour ART 101 class provides a deeper dive into the fundamentals of design, composition, and technique. Students will work with a wide range of materials and processes—drawing, painting, printmaking, and more—while learning how to apply the elements and principles of art in expressive and meaningful ways. With a new focus and project set each eight-week session, this class is ideal for students who want to grow creatively throughout the year.



🎨 Open Studio Days at the Muse

Need more time to finish a project or just want a creative space to play and explore? Our Open Studio Days are the perfect way for students enrolled in classes to dive back in—whether you're putting the final touches on a class piece or dreaming up something brand new.

Bring a group of friends and make it a creative hangout! Open Studio is a great space not only to work independently, but also to spark collaboration and group projects. Want to build something big together? Start a shared sketchbook? Try a team collage? We’re all for it.

  • Free if you’re working on a project started in class (ask your instructor for the code)

  • Minimal supply fees if you’d like to start something new—purchase a canvas or use in-house materials - $10+

  • Bring your own supplies or use our shared studio tools (small fees apply for consumables)

  • Offered on select weekdays and some weekend.

  • Pre-registration is required so we can make sure staff are on hand to support your creativity
