The Creative Commons at The Marshall Muse Gallery:
Putting the Final Touches on Our New Open-Air Courtyard
We’re thrilled to announce a brand new outdoor space!
The Creative Commons is an open-air courtyard tucked alongside the gallery, a flexible, welcoming space built for the kind of events that bring people together: live music, workshops, pop-ups, kids' programming, private gatherings, and more.
The space is designed for comfort and ease. Soft turf underfoot makes it accessible for all ages, a portable stage anchors the space for performers and presenters, and the layout adapts easily to whatever the event calls for. The courtyard stays shaded through the hottest part of the afternoon and catches a reliable breeze, more comfortable than you'd expect, even in a Greensboro summer.
Open fencing, relaxed seating, and a little creative energy from the gallery next door make it feel less like a rented venue and more like the best backyard in the neighborhood, one where the art on the walls is actually for sale.
