Artists' Submission & Intake
Join Our Artist Community – Submit Your Work for Exhibition
We’re thrilled to be able to offer a wide range of options for area artists wanting to be a part of our exhibiting community. Consider the offerings below to see which is right for you:
In-House Artists
Join our creative community as an in-house artist with a private studio rental inside the gallery. In addition to a dedicated workspace, you’ll enjoy year-round exposure, opportunities to engage with visitors, and participation in events.
Gallery Passageway Artists
Display your work in our high-traffic passageway with a rotating wall rental, offering excellent visibility in a professional gallery setting. Ideal for artists seeking exposure without a full studio commitment, with a 30% commission on all sales from this space.
Sales Gallery Artists
Showcase handcrafted items priced at $250 or less—such as jewelry, pottery, fiber arts, small paintings, or giftable works—in our curated sales gallery. This option is perfect for artists creating accessible, original pieces in any medium. Sales from this section carry a 40% commission.
Monthly Exhibit Artists
Apply for our rotating monthly exhibitions, which include a public opening reception and a spotlight on featured artists. Works in monthly exhibits are sold with a 40% commission.
Juried Exhibit Participants
Submit your work to one of our professionally juried exhibitions, held twice a year and reviewed by respected outside jurors. A $35 entry fee includes up to three submissions, plus $5 for each additional piece. This fee helps fund juror stipends, awards, and gallery promotion. Art sales during juried shows are subject to a 40% commission unless you are an in-house or gallery passageway artists.
How it Works
Are you ready to be part of The Marshall Muse Gallery? Schedule an in-person appointment for Artist Submission & Intake and meet with our owner, Tracey Marshall, for a 30-minute session to share your work, discuss your creative goals, and explore how you can become part of our gallery. *These appointments will begin once we are open for business. If you’re interested in teaching, please reach out using our contact form and send us your résumé, a link to your website, or images of your work for consideration.
While digital submissions are helpful, Tracey is a hands-on kind of person who loves to see the art in person and meet you face-to-face. If we accept your artwork, we’ll have you sign papers during your meeting to finalize the details. First-time exhibitors typically place 3 to 5 pieces, depending on size. For smaller gift items priced at $100 or less, such as jewelry or pottery, we accept a greater number of pieces.
If you have any questions, reach out! We’d love to hear from you and help find the perfect fit for you at The Marshall Muse Gallery! We can’t wait to see your work and meet you!
