We’ll Help Your Teens Develop Better Portfolios
Our Teen Portfolio Building class is designed to help young artists take their skills to the next level. This class is appropriate whether your teen is preparing for art school applications, competitions, or simply looking to refine their artistic voice. Through personalized instruction, hands-on projects, and expert guidance, students will build a strong, diverse portfolio that showcases their unique talents. We focus on fundamental techniques, conceptual development, and professional presentation, ensuring each student gains confidence and a competitive edge. Whether exploring new mediums or strengthening existing skills, this class empowers teens to grow as artists and prepare for future creative opportunities.

Art 101

Drawing & Painting

Designed for young artists ready to take their work to the next level, this class explores more advanced drawing and painting techniques with a focus on observation, form, and composition. Students will work on both single-session pieces and longer-term projects, diving deeper into the principles and elements of art while building a strong personal portfolio. Beginning Decorative Papers: Print, Pattern & Handmade Books

Explore the art of surface design in this dynamic, hands-on course that introduces students to a variety of decorative paper techniques. From the deep blues of cyanotype to the swirling patterns of suminagashi, the resist magic of batik, and the bold impressions of linocut, each week offers a new method to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind papers. As skills build week by week, students will experiment with layering, color, and pattern to develop a personal collection of handmade papers. The course concludes with a final project: crafting a unique handmade book using the papers created throughout the session. Perfect for artists, makers, and curious beginners alike—this class blends technique, experimentation, and creativity in equal measure.
