Students will explore more complex subject matter such as drapery, reflective surfaces, dynamic still life arrangements, and the human form, while refining their personal style and visual voice. Gettin’ Crazy With Collage with Suzanne Miller Ages 16+

Oil Clay Sculpting with Eliza Simmons
Tuesdays, 3:30 - 5:30 PM
Summer Session 3 ($135): July 14th, 21st, 28th & August 4th
In this class, students will learn to articulate 3D forms based on models and photos. This introductory class is designed for students with little or no previous experience. Emphasis will be placed on learning foundational skills and gaining confidence working with oil-based clay. By the end of the class, students will have developed a stronger understanding of how to create works from life.
4 week class - $135.00 (includes taking home clay sculpture at the end of class)

Beginner Watercolors with Rebecca Dudley
Tuesdays, 6 PM- 8:00 PM
Summer Session 3 ($95): July 14th, 21st, 28th & August 4th
Explore watercolor techniques in a fun, low-pressure environment. We'll go step-by-step through the basics of watercolor painting as we learn about color mixing, brush work, wet-on-wet, resist, glazing, and more! Projects will include: clouds, bamboo, flowers, and landscapes. You will gain skills that can be carried forward in your watercolor as we learn the versatility of this engaging medium.
All supplies will be included, but you may want to bring a notebook for all the tips and tricks you'll learn!

This 4-week class explores a variety of creative techniques through hands-on experimentation with mixed media. Each week we will focus on a different approach, including collage, paper weaving, artist books and printmaking. Through guided projects and open-ended exploration, the class encourages creativity at all skill levels, offering both structure and freedom to experiment with materials in a new way.

Gouache Glow: The Beauty of Opaque Watercolor with Suzanne Miller Ages 16+

Explore the velvety world of gouache in this beginner friendly class focused on painting with opaque watercolor. You will learn simple techniques for layering, blending and color mixing while creating finished pieces. You will find out why artists love gouache's bold color and forgiving nature and leave with skills and artwork you can be proud of. All supplies provided. No prior experience necessary.

Creating Mixed-Media Landscape Cityscape Collage Series with Joanne Rich Ages 16+
Summer Session 3 ($95): July 18th, 25th & August 1st & 8th

This 4-class Beginner Friendly Mixed Media Collage Series will explore a variety of collage styles and techniques for creating your own mixed media landscape /cityscape collages. I will show you the techniques that I use to create my own structural landscape collages, and we will also look at some of my favorite landscape artists, the techniques they use. Then you will create your own handpainted collage paper using watercolors, acrylics, pastels, etc., and different types of paper. You will also be able to combine your paper with magazine photos, ephemera, and other materials to add to your own landscapes. You will leave the class having created several original 2-D mixed-media landscape collages and will have the skills and knowledge to create similar collages at home on your own.
