“My Valentine Is Art”
Because art is worth falling in love with.
Annual Mural Banner Competition & Juried Exhibition, February 2026
“My Valentine Is Art” was The Marshall Muse Gallery’s initial juried exhibition, celebrating creativity, connection, and community.
While February often focuses on romantic love, this show’s theme highlighted the joy and inspiration art brings into shared spaces. Artists were invited to submit uplifting, inclusive work appropriate for all ages, with a reminder that art itself can be our Valentine.
Dianne Ellis submitted the winning entry, "In The Eye of The Beholder". She’s seen here with the mural banner printed with her art.
Submissions were as varied as the artists who submitted. Click thumbnails and enlarge the images to really enjoy the art.
Selected artworks were exhibited in the Community Gallery throughout February, 2026. Dianne Ellis’s winning painting was reproduced as part of the large-scale outdoor mural banner seen above. It will be displayed on the gallery’s exterior for approximately one year.
Natalie Schorr’s “Discover Something New” won the “People’s Choice” award. And the 3 honorable mention submissions were Gail Baillargeon’s “Hey Ya!”, Dawn Caldwell’s “Find Your Muse”, and Julie Dorn’s “Connection”. Click the images above to view the larger images.
Congratulations to all who participated. We can’t wait to see where the muses lead artists who decide to participate in our next juried exhibit, “New Perspectives”, in January of 2027!
