Family Create Night: Art, Fun & Together Time

Make creativity a family affair at Family Create Night! This special event is designed for parents and kids of all ages to come together and work on a collaborative project, whether it’s an Advent calendar, holiday cards, a joint family canvas, or a beautiful family tree painting. No experience needed — just bring your creativity, and we’ll provide the rest!

Held in our gallery space, “Family Create Night” is all about fun, connection, and making memories. Our beverage bar is open, and snacks are available for purchase, so you can sip and snack while you create. Want to turn it into a full family night out? Come a little earlier or stay later and bring dinner to enjoy before or after your session. With music playing, an instructor ready to help if you hit a creative block, and all supplies included, all you have to do is show up and get ready for a night of artistic fun.

What to Know
Before Your Family Art Night

At The Marshall Muse Gallery, we create a fun, inspiring, and welcoming environment for families to explore their creativity together! Whether you’re joining us for a workshop, camp, or family night event, here are a few things to keep in mind:

  • Dress for the mess! We provide aprons, but we encourage you to wear clothes that can handle a little paint, glue, or creative splatter.

  • All supplies are included unless otherwise noted in the class description—just bring your creativity and we’ll take care of the rest!

  • Our beverage bar and snack station are open during gallery hours and larger art events, so you can enjoy a sip and a snack while you create.

  • If you’re feeling inspired, we have art supplies available for purchase, so you can continue the creative fun at home.

  • Workshops start on time, so plan to arrive a few minutes early to check in, grab a drink, and settle in before the fun begins.

  • All ages are welcome in family-friendly classes — projects are designed to engage both kids and adults, ensuring that everyone gets to be a part of the creative process.

  • You get 3 hours to create and spend quality time with the family, most families create 1.5 - 2.5 hours and enjoy the gallery for the rest of the time.

Choose from a selection of advent calendar styles, then work together as a family to paint, embellish, and personalize it however you like—classic Christmas, modern minimalist, whimsical winter… it’s up to you!

Gather your loved ones and get ready to build memories—literally! Join us for a magical evening of festive creativity as you start your own custom Winter Wonderland Village.

Each family will receive up to three charming wooden houses to paint, decorate, and transform into a delightful holiday display. Whether you’re adding glittery rooftops, candy cane doors, snowy trees, or tiny wreaths, this hands-on night is perfect for all ages—and every tradition.

❄️ January Family Create Night: Winter Wonders

$65 per family (includes one 16x20 canvas + clay + all supplies)

Start the new year with a magical night of winter-themed creativity at The Marshall Muse Gallery! In Winter Wonders, each family will create a stunning 16x20 snowy landscape painting and sculpt a set of handmade winter woodland creatures—combining painting and sculpture into one cozy, display-worthy masterpiece.

While adults and older kids paint a peaceful winter wonderland—sparkling trees, twilight skies, rolling snowdrifts—younger artists will sculpt snowy animals using air-dry clay or model magic. Think foxes, owls, polar bears, bunnies, or even a magical creature straight from their imagination.

Feeling extra inspired? Families can also cut and decorate their own paper snowflakes to hang in front of the canvas, turning your artwork into a 3D winter diorama that’s ready for the mantle, a shelf, or even a mini gallery at home.

Celebrate love, connection, and creativity with a heartwarming evening of art-making at The Marshall Muse Gallery! During this special Family Create Night, each family will design and take home a mixed-media heart masterpiece—a one-of-a-kind keepsake made with love by every member of the family.

Each person will create their own individual heart using collage, paint, stamps, paper, and texture, reflecting their personality, interests, or priorities. Then, you'll bring all of your hearts together—literally—by arranging and assembling them into one unified canvas that represents the love and creativity at the center of your home.

Want to make it extra meaningful? Families are encouraged to include affirmations, favorite words, family values, photos or copies of photos or symbols that represent who they are and what matters most. It’s a true collaborative masterpiece—and a tradition worth starting.

🎲 March Family Create Night: Build-A-Board Game
Friday, March 20, 2026 | 6:00–9:00 PM
 $65 per family (includes game board, materials, and all supplies)

Ready to level up family game night? Join us at The Marshall Muse Gallery for a one-of-a-kind creative experience: Build-A-Board Game—where your family becomes the designer, the artist, the rule-maker, and the inventor of your very own custom board game!

You’ll start with a blank game board and a set of pre-cut cards and dice—then work together as a family to plan your theme, map out your gameplay, design your cards (“Skip ahead 3!”, “Go back to the start!”, “Dance party challenge!”), and paint your game board with a design that’s as wild or whimsical as your family wants it to be.

To make it even more personal, each family will use Sculpey clay to sculpt their own custom game pieces—from animals to robots to mini versions of yourselves! We’ll bake the pieces on-site, so they’re ready to take home with your finished game by the end of the night.
